Position Details
The chosen candidate provides technical expertise to support Design of Experiments, Verification & Validation, and Performance Assessments (PA) of elements within the Missile Defense System. Plans and executes performance analyses on current and planned assets within the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Coordinates with functional working group leads, senior management, and government offices responsible for executing analysis tasks associated with Verification & Validation and Performance Assessments of the BMDS. Documents analysis results in reports and briefings. The chosen candidate presents results to Missile Defense System Engineering Team (MDSET) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) representatives.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and ensures application of best practices. The chosen candidate leads technical modeling teams in the development of requirements for system concepts, architectures, and designs. Works with customers, teaming partners, subcontractors and suppliers to exchange technical data and to discuss project performance; Defines Modeling and Simulation support plans by assessing applicability of enterprise common tools and processes or identifying requirements for new models and simulation tools to meet needs across the system engineering lifecycle; Leads teams to identify new modeling and simulation requirements that meet customer needs; Leads project level simulation development teams and works with customers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications
MS/MBA degree is required.
15-20 years experience is required.
The successful candidate will have an Operations Research background with expertise in various Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience with BMDS and associated elements. Further, the successful candidate will have experience with Verification & Validation processes, and an understanding of Performance Assessment techniques for various BMDS elements. Candidate will be expected to prepare and present briefings on assigned analysis projects to small internal and government audiences.
The successful candidate will also have;
Solid engineering background that covers a variety are disciplines that supports both conceptual and detailed assessments while maintaining a system engineering process;
Strong interpersonal skills with above average verbal and written communications skills and be able to work in a dynamic environment;
Ability to work independently with limited direction or supervision
Experience in modeling and simulation of military operations including missiles, radar, and Infrared Sensors (IR) is required.
