With more than 50,000 surgeries performed annually at Florida Hospital, our perioperative nurses not only have the opportunity to care for diverse surgical patients, but they are also able to become familiar with advanced surgical equipment and procedures. Florida Hospitals surgical specialties include cardiovascular surgery, peripheral vascular surgery, orthopaedic surgery (including total joint replacement), neurosurgery, opthamology, orthognathic surgery, plastic surgery, micro and limb reimplantation surgery, urology surgery, kidney transplantation, gynecology, otolaryngology, and general surgery, as well as laser surgery in many of these areas. Nurses can become specialized by scrubbing and circulating in a particular surgical area.
A variety of 8 and 12 hour, day and evening shifts are available in various OR settings. Requirements include FL RN license or the ability to obtain a FL RN license and previous OR experience with appropriate focus.
