POSITION SUMMARY:

Seeking a software engineer to develop, deploy and maintain web-based software solutions for a Federal Government client.

As one of the technical experts, you must demonstrate technical ability in systems integration and development activities for the client. Moreover, as a representative of the company, you must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with the client. Occasional travel between client sites may be required. US Citizenship is a requirement for this position. Candidate may be subject to a security background investigation.

Position requires strong knowledge and experience with web application development, deployment and maintenance. Experience with HTML design, J2EE development, software architecture and design patterns is required. Must also have experience with Apache Struts , Apache Tomcat 5 or later, JPA, MS SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and working knowledge of Hibernate Annotations. Candidate will assist with on-going web applications support, administration, documentation and procedures.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience: Eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in the design and development of web-based software solutions, including the deployment and support of those solutions.

Required Skills:

Demonstrated experience with J2EE, HTML, and Javascript.

Must possess experience with Apache Struts and Apache Tomcat 5 or later.

Demonstrated proficiency in MS SQL Server and database design.

Demonstrated experience CVS versioning tool, Bugzilla defect tracking tool, IntelliJ IDEA and Toad for MS SQL Server.

Must be familiar with MS Project and MS Visio

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
