My client, based in NYC, NY, is looking to bring aboard a Project Manager & Senior Business Analyst Consultant.
Project duration: Initial contract for 3 months, with a possibility to extend for a further 1 year.

Project Manager & Senior Business Analyst Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities:
The individual will initially support the project management team for a key project, and subsequently expand his/her role to support the Program Management Office (PMO) in the build-out of PMO capabilities. As a member of the PMO and project management team, the individual will work with large, cross-functional, and cross-geographical teams. The following is representative of key day-to-day responsibilities.
Actively manage project plan in MS Project for a large and complex project
Manage project resource forecasting and tracking for budgeting and planning purposes
Conduct impact analysis on plan updates and forecasts, identify, resolve and/or escalate issues and conflicts in a timely manner
Support management reporting needs that may include periodic/ad-hoc analysis and preparation of presentation materials
Lead and facilitate productive meetings and conversations with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders
Apply pragmatic industry best practices for Project and Program Management functions and processes
Facilitate work-shops and training sessions
Develop PMO tools as appropriate
Required Experience
Desired Experience:
Project Management
At least 7 years experience as a project manager or project management support role including extensive use of MS Project; PMP preferred
Experience in equity or derivatives trading technology for an exchange or brokerage/financial services firm preferred
Experience working on merger integration initiatives preferred
Program Management
7 years experience working as a Program Manager or part of a Program Management Office
Business & Financial Analysis
5 years experience as a Business Analyst / Consultant
At least 3 years experience managing financial models/tools or equivalent with a strong attention to detail
Desired Skills and Education:
In-depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and the role of Project Management
Solid understanding of Program Management Office, key functions and processes and ability to draw upon experience to develop best practice approaches
Four-year bachelors degree
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to think big picture and be equally comfortable with details
Critical thinking with the ability to question status-quo and conduct what-if and scenario-driven analyses
Ability to prioritize and deliver on time in a dynamic project environment with competing demands from within and across projects with a ?can do? attitude, but not hesitant to escalate or ask for help
Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and at the same time adapt to collaborate and be part of a team
Build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at multiple levels
Ability to facilitate productive conversations with a large cross-functional teams
