Click Here to Apply OnlinePhysical Therapist Job Summary: The Physical Therapist is responsible for the provision of direct patient care, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, reassessment, and ordering equipment. It may also include these indirect patient care activities: documentation, rounds, scheduling, family training, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Education/Work Experience Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program and completion of Clinical Fieldwork. One (1) year experience as a Physical Therapist. Entry level physical therapy knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, orthopedic, medical/surgical settings. Licensure/Certification:
Current Texas State license for Physical Therapy or a Texas State Interim Permit (valid for a maximum of one year unless an extension is approved by the Department Director). Texas State PT Association and American PT Association membership preferred. Current CPR Certification Job Knowledge/Skills:
Position requires therapist to perform direct patient care in a clinical setting. Technical duties necessitate that the therapist functions at an independent level of performance, demonstrating sound judgment and decision making. Excellent time and resource management skills are required of the therapist in managing multiple demands. Ability to maintain strenuous daily pace with overlapping schedule subject to multiple demands and interruptions.
