Licensed Vocational Nurse Emergency Room


Job Summary:

The Emergency Room LVN is responsible for directing and coordinating members of the care team, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational standards. Develops the patient plan of care in partnership with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patient/family.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited School of Licensed Vocation Nursing.
Successful completion of the pre-hire Medication Examination.
Two (2) years of experience in a Medical Surgical Unit.
Prefer previous ER experience.

Licensure/Certification:

Current License from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
Current BLS, CPR Certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS Certification or must be obtained within two (2) months of hire.
