Team Position Options Include: 1. Full Time 2. Part-time 3. Per diem The STAR (Specialty Trained And Responsive) Team -- ICU SPECIALTY (Float Pool) is a quick response, supplemental staffing pool composed of full time, part time and per diem nurses, with a minimum of 3 years acute care experience with at least 2 of those years in ICU. The STAR Team is deployed to various units within Hartford Hospital in response to pre-arranged vacations, vacant positions and leaves of absence as well as urgent requests for staffing to meet the demands of sick calls, patient acuity and volume. STAR Team RNs will be required to practice in at least two specialty teams throughout Hartford Hospital where competency has been established. Patient care assignment determined by hospital need. Report to STAR Team Nurse Manager. Candidates submit schedule availability according to posting dates. Weekend and Holiday shift requirements based on chosen position options and specialty areas.

Experience: Current CT RN license required. Specialty credentials required for specific specialty areas (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC) Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated flexibility, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills with an ability to practice in a challenging environment.
