We have an opportunity for a Manager of Sterile Processing Services, an experienced leader with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in Sterile Processing, a person who can make a commitment our mission, vision, and values. Demonstrated management and financial expertise is critical. In this role you will ensure the appropriate management of activities related to the SPS support of Patient Care areas and Linen services. The Manager of Sterile Processing Services will be responsible for providing leadership to approximately 30 employees and 22 FTE's. You will be supported by a Program Coordinator and Team Leaders. This position Reports to the Director of Perioperative Services. Education: Associate's degree in and Health Care or Business related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Evidence of ongoing participation in continuing management education programs designed to enhance managerial effectiveness, Medical Terminology and Knowledge of Surgical Instrumentation required. Preferred candidate will have advanced degree in health care administration or related allied health field. Certificate or special studies in inventory control. Proficiency in computers and related software application. Proficiency in computers and related software application. License / Certification: Requires Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification (CSPDT) by CBSPD or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Supervisor certification (CSPDS) by CBSPD. Experience: This position requires a minimum of three years of recent SPS management experience in a health care setting. Experience in a management position at a level of responsibility providing a ride-range of demonstrated skills in communication, operations management and productivity, quality management, human resources management, fiscal management and customer relations. Thorough knowledge of sterilization, processing, distribution processes and laundry services, and related quality control measures as delivered in a health care setting with specific training. Leadership: The employees in this department are poised for greatness; candidate must have a proven track record of managing/mentoring a minimum of 15 employees in a Sterile Processing/Distribution department for a minimum of three years. Experience: Candidate must have experience in a hospital environment of similar size minimum 300+ beds. Certifications: Candidate must have the following certifications: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification (CSPDT) by CBSPD or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Supervisor certification (CSPDS) by CBSPD.
