Currently, our biggest need is for traditional Internal Medicine in which the physician sees patients in the office as well as rounding on patients in the hospital. In Pensacola call is shared with another group. Currently the call is 1:7. In Destin, the call is currently 1:5. In both locations, we have a hospitalist program, so the doctors only see patients that belong to their group. In other words, there is no call for unassigned patients. This makes things very manageable for the doctor that is on-call that night. We also have need for outpatient only Internal Medicine physicians. Basically this is a clinic based practice and if the patient needs to be admitted to the hospital, the hospitalist will admit them. These are in areas located too far from the hospital to make it feasible for a physician to make daily rounds.
