Click Here to Apply Online RN - PATIENT QUALITY - PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT and RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST Position Overview: Under the direction of the Hospital Director of Quality and Safety you will provide coordination and support of quality improvement activities and strategies for the hospital. Projects include but are not limited to: core measure data abstraction, review and analysis; development and implementation of quality improvement strategies, incident report follow up and review, participation in Joint Commission and DPH reviews and more. In general, well look to you for expertise in developing processes and managing project task forces to ensure improvement activities are coordinated addressing quality and patient safety agendas. This is a great team environment with open collaboration. The Director of this group has a relaxed management style and fosters open communication. As an organization participates in IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvement) 5 Million Lives Campaign is part of the IHIs Reducing Surgical Complications Community. Qualifications: - 3-5 years experience in an in-patient acute care setting working on patient centric Quality Improvement and Risk Management programs, strategies and initiatives. - An RN is highly desired. - Other required experience includes; a good knowledge base of DPH and Joint Commission regulations/standards, Core Measures, AHRQ Patient Safety Indicators. - We look for individuals in this capacity that can take a project management approach and can exhibit leadership qualities. - A BSN is preferred.
