Director of Pediatrics - FT, Exempt position
 
Participates as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of the hospital's nursing services. In summary, is responsible for patient care, management, resource management, and fiscal management of assigned service line
 
Must have demonstrated competence in service line management, streamlining and coordinating clinical services beyond traditional boundaries of discipline and department specific performance improvement including the integration of clinical, quality, and financial outcomes.  Requires demonstrated experience in facilitating and implementing a strategic planning process with specific outcomes.  Must have previously demonstrated experience in leading a successful change process with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians and healthcare providers; and demonstrated knowledge of managing and meeting budget outcomes.  Must be able to read, write and speak English.
 





Requires a Masters degree in Nursing or Business Management; or an equivalent combination of training and considerable experience, with appropriate age specific patient population in the area of responsibility, which will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
 
Must have at least five (5) years of clinical experience within Pediatrics, with two to three (2-3) years demonstrated leadership experience relevant to the patient population and scope of care of the department.
