Position Details
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the leadership of detailed mechanical design practice of engine fuel controls and related hardware. Hardware includes metering units and fuel driven activators.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include ensuring the detail design and analysis of fuel valves and related components meets applicable standard work and exception engineering design practices. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of analysis/calculations of loads, flows, pressure drop, materials selections and stress. Requires working in an leading IPD environment along with Mechanical Systems, Drafting and Manufacturing to ensure designs are compliant, producible and cost-effective. This position will be responsible for driving technical and cost excellence in the fuel product line.
• Use ACE operating system for all job requirements.
• Exhibit the leadership skills required to drive success and train and mentor, the less experience staff members.
• Provide timely and effective communications to senior management, staff and customers.
• Assist the Production organization and GM/Program Office to meet development, Production and Producibility milestones for their projects.
• Work with the Engineering leadership to continue building a world class engineering organization.
• Drive technical excellence in the fuel control product line. You will review all designs to ensure compliance to SW and exceptional engineering practice.
• Review all engineering design processes and drive improvements.
• Develop strategic plans for the fuel control products. Focus on engineering excellence and competiveness, as well as, develop prodict like and technology strategic vision and execution.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree is required.
10+ years of experience is required.
Fuel Controls experience is essential in this role.
Experience with fuel metering units and fule driven actuators is required.
Domestic travel of 30% is required.
