We currently have an immediate opening in Bowie, Maryland for a Telecommunications Engineer with the ability to perform Test Engineering on E3, EMI, and EMC.

Minimum SECRET Security Clearance required.

Position Summary:
This Telecom Engineer will support the Joint Spectrum Center or DOD sponsoring agency by providing E3, EMI, and EMC engineering analyses, RF measurements and testing of military systems in both office and field engineering tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform E3, RF measurements, EMI and EMC tests to include development of test plans, site coordination, testing, data analysis, and report generation. Field measurements, tests and analyses are to be performed in compliance with various DOD and E3 standards. Report documentation to be generated in compliance with DOD and customer standards.
Investigate existing engineering software applications, written in C++ and MATLAB, to recommend and implement modifications to improve overall quality of data analysis applications. May require developing Macros or VB modules to be embedded into MS Excel to meet specific analytical needs for a specific engineering project.
Perform Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference engineering analytical analyses using a range of models and software programs.
Perform co-site, environmental, and RADHAZ analyses (HERO, HERP and HERF) of RF transmitter and electronic systems, provide techniques of mitigation, or develop emission control plans to eliminate or moderate interference.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum SECRET Security Clearance.
Minimum 6 months experience in performing RF, E3, EMC, EMI and RADHAZ field measurements, tests and technical evaluations of DOD electronic / communication systems.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of RF engineering theories and principles coupled with working knowledge and expertise of RF test and measurement equipment is required. (RF measurement equipment includes Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Signal Generators, etc.) Experience in VHDL, digital signal processing, and signals and systems is desirable.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and background in software development. Must be able to review existing applications / codes and suggest / implement code modifications.
Must have strong working knowledge of MS Office products in order to analyze data and create engineering & project-related reports.
May require travel within the U.S. up to 35% of the time.
Must possess excellent skills in analysis, communication, and customer service.
