Responsibilities: Provide business control and support for various general ledger activities including month-end procedures, processing journal entries, and customer query support for both Computron (GFSS/NASS) and Oracle (EFSS). Ensure all entries and supporting documentation is in compliance with policies and procedures and conform with SOX guidelines. Research and resolve invoice errors and non-payments. Create and review Match Queue Error Report monthly. Work with business partners in VMRD, Accounts Payable (GFSS) and Procurement to follow-up on all invoice and PO issues. Act as liaison for Australia in setting up project codes for billing through Oracle. Close purchase orders that have been over extended. Assign EPM task to correct projects. Correct any miscoded invoices to correct project codes, expense code, or department. This position is a contact point for the VMRD organization for questions related to several policies: Travel & Entertainment, Prepaid Expenses, Global Policy on Interactions with Animal Healthcare Professionals (GPiAHP), and FCPA. Perform quarterly audits of transactions to ensure compliance with policy. This includes acting as the point of contact for any audit related requests from both internal and external auditors; and actively participating in improving accuracy of policies and procedures. Perform weekly finance database updates for external spending through excel, access, and PEAT. Additional Responsibilities Include: Responsible for tracking and reconciling AMEX Business Travel Account. Act as ASL Support for VMRD. Monitor ASLs in accordance with ASL guidelines as well as monitoring exceptions. Research intercompany invoices and provide correct project codes for each transaction. Assist Capital Lead with capital expenditure analysis and reporting. This includes creating project codes, closing projects, and approving all Capital requisitions and NOEMs in Ariba. Maintain the VMRD Finance website. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance with 2-3 years of industry experience not necessarily within R&D. Software Packages: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Power Point Candidate must be comfortable and capable of using a wide range of financial information systems (Computron, Business Objects, Oracle, Hyperion, Ariba, and GCE).
