Network Security Engineer - Tampa, FL
Position Description:
The Security Engineer is responsible for analyzing the information security environment and enforcing security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Identify and implement security plans for data, software applications, desktops, hosting servers, network configuration, installations of security equipment. Expert with VPN and firewall (network security).

Responsibilities:
• Act as a technical liaison to IT Security related issues.
• Technical proficiency in security related hardware and software systems and platforms; with expertise in NAT, IPSec VPN, Remote VPN Clients .
• Administrate security related logs and events via console activity to determine cause of security related events or to identify potential security related risks.
• Support internal IT staff on normal and exception processing of security authorization requests.
• Assist in providing technical expertise and guide the administration of security tools that control and monitor information security including:
• Firewall rule sets, IDS systems, Network device access control lists, Antivirus investigation and monitoring
• Assist in defining and implement firewall rules associated with the required network access.
• Support internal and external application teams to identify the required network access as well as the required network services, protocols, and ports

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 (two) years experience information security experience as well as experience in Information Technology, with exposure to Security practice and Systems Analysis.
• Expertise with Enterprise Firewall platforms such as Checkpoint Firewall with expert skills in defining and implementing firewall rules on these platforms
• CCSA, CCSE Checkpoint Firewall Certifications or other firewall and security related certifications highly preferred.
• Expertise with and knowledge of Internet / Intranet networking protocols and services NAT, IPSec VPN, Remote VPN Clients.
