Scope of Work As a Web Applications Developer for a medium sized company, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in differing capacities. In some cases we will rely on you to scope and implement web and backend database projects, assist with web and database updates and fixes and assist other team members. You will work with many other NetMotion Wireless teams, including but not limited to Sales, Accounting, Marketing, Product Management and Technical Support.
Types of Ongoing Projects and Responsibilities • Develop ASP and ASP.NET code to produce database reports and manipulate data held in those databases • Prepare HTML layout and CSS designs • Proactively recommend process and system improvements • Respond quickly to the Web Development service requests • Ensure proper operation of the computer systems (Web and SQL) • Work with our Ektron CMS400 Content Management System (CMS) • Work with Google analytics system and assist Marketing in analyzing web traffic statistics Qualifications As a contractor with us you will need to leverage project management skills to adequately scope and estimate the projects you will be working on. You will utilize your knowledge of HTML design, ASP and ASP.net development and SQL database programming, manage and enhance the public web presence for our wireless sector, the software company enabling businesses and government agencies to maximize productivity of their mobile workforces. Qualifications To do well in this role it is important that in addition to having the required technical skills below, you also be self-starter, work well both independently and on a team, have strong troubleshooting and testing skills, pay attention to details, and have a strong customer-orientation. You must have 4-5 years experience developing dynamic and data-driven web sites and systems. You must have a thorough understanding of and experience with: • Classic ASP programming/debugging • ASP.NET/C#/ADO.NET experience • Database (SQL Server) programming/administration • Windows systems administration • Troubleshooting • A modern Content Management System (CMS) • A version control system • HTML & CSS design • Technical writing & documentation You may have experience with: • HTML & CSS design • Javascript programming • Graphics design and editing • Google Analytics • Flash • XML & XSLT • SalesForce experience • Boomi experience • Ektron experience • Acronis administration
