Responsibilities:This individual's primary responsibility will be to diagnose and fix customer and BMC QA reported issues. Additional responsibilities will include development tasks associated with a new product release project as appropriate. These responsibilities will be for a BMC IMS / MAINVIEW product. Responsibilities include problem diagnosis through dump reading and code analysis, researching, designing, coding, and unit testing for assigned tasks. Peer code reviews for quality assurance purposes are also required. In this position, you are required to provide schedule estimates and regular progress updates. Responsibilities also include working with the customer support quality assurance and development staff in diagnosing and fixing any internal or customer reported defects. Position Requirements 10 years z/OS Assembly language programming experience 10 years programming design experience 10 years MVS internal control and flow experience - plus a working knowledge of IMS TM control structures and control blocks Proven z/OS dump reading skills Strong problem analysis skills Familiarity with z/OS error handling routines (ESTAE), cross memory services, and multi-tasking environments is a plus Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related studies is desired Position Attributes BMC is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer..
