Responsibilities:Patients with Medicare and/or Medicaid or dual insurances are exempt from collection. Performs bedside registration by utilizing all appropriate scripts and updating this information in the hospital's HBOC system. Copies patient's Driver's License and insurance cards. Performs insurance verifications utilizing appropriate online websites such as: Blue E, Passport, and HIQA. Disposition and break down charts in a timely manner and file appropriately. ThisPRN (part-time) position worksSaturday 6:45pm-7:15am. Admits patients in a timely manner. Completes all necessary forms. Notifies ER Supervisor / Admitting Director as needed. Routes patients to Cashier, Financial Counselor, MEP and/or billing office if necessary. PRN employees must collect on a minimum of 30 accounts per month. Full-Time employees must collect on a minimum of 40 accounts per month. Collects ER co-pays from private pay or patients with only 1 insurance.
