THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will have agency experience managing retail accounts and be a proactive type of contributor with a strong focus on overall client satisfaction. The GAD will continually strive to find ways to grow the Client's business by supporting and helping develop the Client's marketing and advertising strategies, then delegating and executing strategic and creative action items. Initiate and guide development of annual strategic marketing communications/advertising plan/promotional events. Develop objectives/strategies for market-specific, new vehicle launch plans utilizing media-provided added value opportunities. This leader will help subordinates grow, assuring a vibrant, cohesive team ensuring compliance to all Agency guidelines and securing required signatures/paperwork for Agency records (confidentiality, T&E, etc.). The GAD will work with the media group to develop annual media plans based on reach and frequency goals, then continually monitoring timely plans/buys.

Gaining the Client's confidence as an advertising partner who is competent, reliable, and respected is a characteristic for success in this role!

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent, relevant experience.
- 7-10 years experience as an Account Director / Group Account Director in an advertising or marketing agency; retail experience highly preferred.
- Must be willing to travel throughout pre-determined region.
