Support tooling business by designing cutting tools and their manufacturing processes for machined production reamers, mill ends and drill bits including programming of CNC equipment.

Shall:

*** Design the manufacturing process for precision cutting tools using up to 5 axis milling, grinding, turning and EDM technology

*** Oversee programming for CNC vertical and horizontal mills, grinders, lathes, and EDM equipment.

*** Develop tool designs that can be machined efficiently.

*** Vendors to resolve problems affecting internal manufacturing processes.

*** Apply lean principles and practices to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requires

*** 5 + years machine shop experience./

*** CNC programming experience.

*** Ability to design, program and validate manufacturing processes.

*** Solid understanding of machining, tool design, and basic metallurgy.

*** Hands on ability to use design software.
