POSITION DETAILS
The VP of Engineering works with the executive management to establish and develop enterprise engineering capabilities and personnel to ensure that our client delivers state of the art technologies to its customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Align the Enterprise Engineering team’s activities with the company goals, strategic direction and values.
• Works synergistically with Business Development to provide key technical support.
• Leads and organizes regular enterprise engineering counsels i.e the Quarterly technology forum with enterprise VP's of Technology and discipline based counsels comprised of members of each business area, with the focus of sharing and utilizing SNC/ industry best practices.
• Lead Enterprise engineering development, career pathing and support performance development process.
• Establish enterprise learning and development paths / curriculum for all engineering disciplines.
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Enterprise Engineering team.
• Support Business Area's and Program Management in the areas of resource utilization, engineering labor, basis of estimates etc.
• Foster a virtual engineering and highly collaborative team environment.
• Ensure optimal utilization of technical and engineering resources to support program and customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in an engineering or scientific field of study is required. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years leading engineering teams, after having successfully performed as an individual contributor across multiple engineering functions is required.
A cross functional team player who drives business solutions that exceed expectations and enhances enterprise synergies is essential in this role.
Strong people management/ leadership skills are required. Ability to attract, inspire, motivate and retain top-tier talent.
Experience with career pathing and engineering development is required.
Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills with a history of directing multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time is required.
Candidates must be able to obtain/ maintain a security clearance.
