Responsibilities: Review product specifications and requirement documents for performance validation; author detailed performance test plans; define test configurations and topologies, test workloads, and test data volumes for specific products. Setup and configure multi-machine test environments; install application server software, configure and tune application server environments. Develop and/or enhance multi-user load and performance tests using HP LoadRunner, JUnit or other testing tools as needed. Execute multi-user load and performance tests and analyze collected performance data and resource information. Identify performance problems and bottlenecks. Clearly and succinctly report findings to stakeholder teams. Collaborate to develop and review product performance whitepapers. Requirements: 3 years experience with load and performance testing and the performance test process covering: test plan development; workload characterization and modeling; test script creation and debugging; and heavy-load performance test execution. Experience with performance metrics definition and collection, performance test results analysis and reporting. Web application testing on LoadRunner or another commercial load test tool experience required. Skilled with enterprise deployment technologies, including clustering and load balancing. Experience with at least one of these application server platforms: WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss. Adept with at least one of these database vendors: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2. Administrative experience with at least one of these operating systems: Solaris, AIX, Red Hat Linux, Windows. Experience with one or more of these languages: Java, JSP, SQL, scripting languages. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. Strong English communication skills, written and oral. Preferred (Desirable) Skills: Adept with one or more of these tools: dynaTrace, JProfiler, YourKit, HP LoadRunner Diagnostics. Experience with project planning and scheduling. Hands-on experience with customers and performance issues. Experience with authoring product performance-related documents and whitepapers. .
