Enablement tools include an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) based on Eclipse containing a source-level debugger, build system, project management system, compilers, linkers, libraries, examples, wizards, documentation, and other components. Tools products from Enablement Tools have been used by companies such as Cisco, Ericsson and Motorola to develop major embedded applications in the Network Communications and Transportation markets. The Enablement Tools group itself is composed of highly dedicated software professionals of the highest caliber. The team is demanding of itself, and each member is demanding of his/her peers. In this position, you will be expected to share our passion for producing software of the highest quality. Requirements: The Product Architect for our NetComm tools will have the responsibility to lead a cross-matrixed technical team to develop and advanced tool solution for software development for Freescales most advanced multicore platforms. Duties of this role include ensuring the development of use cases representative of our customers utilization of the tools, distillation of these use cases into component requirements, ensuring technical coherency of the products features, and act as the overall technical lead of the product. Ability to communicate to customers and internal management about the product and its capabilities is also one of the primary duties. Specific Knowledge/Skills The successful candidate for this position is a highly talented, experienced software engineer and must have a deep background in software development for embedded systems, and especially for those in the Network Communications field. Bachelors/Master's degree in CS or EE Experience in the full application development life cycle from specification through design, development and testing. Minimum 10-15 years of industry experience in embedded and application level programming. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to interface with customers and third-parties. Strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Experience working in medium to large teams. Key Platform Software Architecture Knowledge: Knowledge of NetComm system architecture and the programming thereof is foundational for this position. .
