Responsibilities: Assists in developing the conceptual framework for the Metropolitan College. Ensures recruitment of eligible cadre of students for degree programs within the College. Forges seamless articulation agreements with two-year institutions to ensure needed student recruitment and retention. Evaluates the academic records of transfer applicants to the College and renders admissions decisions. Assists in coordinating the registration and admissions processes. Plans and coordinates activities and events to engage adult learners academically and socially. Develops handbooks that coincides with the current university handbooks but is specific to adult learners. In conjunction with the Dean, hires faculty & staff for Metropolitan College Supervises & evaluates the Community Relations Specialist. Coordinates staff development for Metropolitan College faculty. Provides supervision and guidance for the management, security and preservation of academic records. Develops and implements a technology plan for the College; coordinates technology needs for students. Compiles statistical data and reports. Provides leadership to other staff members of the Metropolitan College with regard to the enhancement of as well as the efficient and effective use of the JENZABAR student information system. Prepares and provides information for faculty and administrators relative to the Metropolitan College. In conjunction with the Dean, prepares and updates the University Catalog with regard to program offerings of the College. Maintains the NSLDS (National Student Loan Data System) Website for students in the College. Provides leadership in the assembly of required college personnel for recruitment, registration, retention, advisement and remediation, and graduation of adult students. Develops and monitors the departmental budget and p erforms o ther duties as required to meet organizational needs.Requirements: A terminal degree and related experience with adult student recruitment, engagement, retention and record-keeping. Experience gathering, analyzing and reporting data for data-driven decision making. Knowledge of and proficiency with integrated student information systems such as Jenzabar, Banner or Oracle. Comprehensive knowledge of the laws, regulations, and mandates relevant to student and academic information (e.g. FERPA, NCAA, VA). Experience providing supervision and guidance for the management, security and preservation of academic records. .
