Responsibilities: The position will require involvement in all phases of the product lifecycle: researching user needs, interaction design for the system/enhancement to be built, creation of requirements documentation (primarily data flows and user stories), concept usability testing, monitoring the production of the product by the engineering team, user acceptance testing, and work to determine marketing launch strategies. The position will work as a member of the Product Management team which will also include another Product Development Manager, a Product Marketing Manager, and a UI design team. We are committed to extending the leading digital distribution platform for PC games so a proven track record of launching well-received web based products on deadline is the #1 criteria of the job. We are looking for an intrinsically motivated person who can be responsible for creating their own project plans and executing on them. This candidate will need to be passionate about their product designs but also willing to work collaboratively with the product team to arrive at a final design that will best suit the target users. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in product management, software design and production Previous Product Management experience within a leading consumer facing, e-Commerce site Games industry experience is preferred, but not necessary Understanding and ability to respond to the needs of customers using our products Communicating across various departments of IGN to ensure consensus on product strategy Researching to determine future product trends as well as ability to cite necessary enhancements needed for Direct2Drive and FilePlanet product lines Developing business processes and customer interaction methods to achieve cohesive functionality..
