Responsibilities: Graduation from a recognized and accredited school of nursing and currently licensed and in good standing with the State of Michigan Board of Nursing.Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.At least 3 years experience in nursing.Prior home health experience required.Demonstrated ability to communicate accurately and effectively orally and in writing.Prior education or experience must indicate ability to develop objectives, teaching plans and to evaluate results.Self-directed professional who is able to identify educational needs, to develop programs and to provide information throughout the service area to all home health staff.Possesses current Michigan motor vehicle license, ability to drive a car, and insured vehicle capable of transport to various locations within the MHH service area.BLS-C required.Meets MHH established requirement for proof of health status..Supports the mission statement of Munson Medical Center: Munson Medical Center is the core of a regional health system. Performs job duties safely at all times, utilizing learned body mechanics and transferring/lifting techniques.Plans actions to promote safety. Reports any unsafe situation/equipment according to hospital procedure.5.Collaborates with managers and staff to assess learning needs of clinical staff in all branches of Munson Home Care.6.Plans and implements orientation activities throughout the MHH service area.7.Establishes orientation teaching objectives and work plan with evaluation throughout the sessions.8.Prepares and modifies written educational plans for all orientation activities.9.Remains current in nursing techniques, standards, and procedures.10.Develops and utilizes appropriate evaluation systems to determine effectiveness of orientation activities.11.Participates in committees, task forces, process improvement teams, meetings, and activities to assist in the development of staff and the promotion of continuous quality improvement.12.Provides appropriate documentation tools to managers and staff to enable accurate record keeping of individual orientation activity.13.Prepares and uses audiovisual materials effectively.14.Cross-trains to assist with educational programs.15.Participates in the development of departmental goals and objectives.16.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
