Position Details
The chosen candidate will have the responsibility for developing and leading departmental strategy, decisions, and activities regarding the development and implementation of information technology and systems to support multi-functions or a major business function. He/she establishes department goals and operating plan in support of critical business strategies. Collaborates with business-unit management, and various IT functional teams to assess feasibility, determine costs versus benefits, prioritize projects, and develop and implement systems plans that address the information requirements of the business and adhere to established strategic business and systems objectives. Candidate consults, counsels and reviews business needs of the functional unit to ensure systematic and coordinated development of information systems activities. He/she communicates regularly with senior IT management regarding customer needs and direction regarding infrastructure plans, systems plans, projects, performance, and related matters. Oversees all corporate information systems activities, including systems analysis, programming, computer, and auxiliary operations. Develops, interprets and applies department policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities; ensuring high standards and quality of work. You will direct reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs.
You will be responsible for managing a team of managers and key staff. Creates a vision, establishes a strategy, sets goals and objectives, manages performance and deliverables, and develops / mentors staff. Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. The IT Director II is responsible for managing performance and deliverables from a global workforce of associates and vendors that may be operating from various time-zones.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree is required.
Minimum of 6 years of Information Technology experience required.
10-12 years of relevant Information Technology experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience managing a team of experienced, technical staff through various life-cycle phases required
Experience managing department budgets required
Strong analytical, problems-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong project management skills; experience organizing, planning and executing projects from vision through implementation, involving internal and external resources
Experience developing strategic information systems plans
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and influence at all management levels and with both technical and non-technical individuals and successfully manage in a cross-functional environment
Knowledge of retail industry, specifically store operations preferable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams
Ability to manage competing priorities
Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
Exposure to methodologies and specific quality assessment/certifications such as ISO and CMMi is required.
