Responsibilities: This position will support efficient operations of the nursing unit. Utilize skills in reception, transcription, maintaining medical records and clerical duties. Other duties as assigned. Must possess effective interpersonal / communication skills. Must have a working knowledge of medical terminology. Competency in computer data entry. Must have legible handwriting and the ability to decipher others handwriting. Must be able to prioritize and apply common sense understanding to carry out verbal or written instructions. CPR Certification required. High School graduate preferred, or GED. NAHUC certification desirable. Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, stretch, reach, bend and to be able to see, hear and work in a stressful environment..
