Responsibilities: The position demands demonstrated clinical competence and good interpersonal skills. The Team Leader must display effective oral and written communication, critical thinking and organizational skills, assistance with staff development, and over sight of adherence to clinical and professional standards to assure quality outcomes. Input into department and hospital performance improvement activities as well as data collection is required. The Team Leader will actively participate in annual department budget preparation and monitor financial performance. Active participation in retention and recruitment of staff, development of department competencies, professional advancement of clinical staff,and ongoing, participation in review, revision and development of policies and procedures is expected. Oversees sterilization, assembly, and storage of surgical instruments and equipment adhering to OSHA, Infection Control and AAMI Standards and Recommended Practice. 3 or more years as CST or RN in surgery or sterile processing. Certified Surgical Technologist or LA. nursing license..
