Responsibilities: Bloomberg is the leading global provider of financial data, news and analytics. The BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL service and Bloomberg's media services provide real-time and archived financial and market data, pricing, trading, news and communications tools in a single, integrated package to corporations, news organizations, financial and legal professionals and individuals around the world. The RoleTradebook Futures team is seeking a senior Unix/C/C developer to work on real time Futures trading platform. The position requires writing C/C code for distributed multi-threaded applications. Currently the system supports trading on over a dozen Commodities/Futures exchanges worldwide. Exchanges include LIFFE, Eurex, CME and CBOT among others and the list is growing. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development and maintenance of a highly scalable server, which can process large volumes of ticks and users, development and maintenance of Front end GUI built in GTK and Bloomberg proprietary technologies, for providing complete trading functionality. Requirements:- Strong knowledge of UNIX, thread programming, server side programming - TCP/IP socket programming - Languages: C , C, object oriented programming - GUI development experience, GTK development experience preferred - Knowledge of ACE framework, XML, FIX protocol is a plus - 5 years of relevant experience
