This global presence provides design and engineering solutions that are combined with core electronics manufacturing and logistics services, and vertically integrated with components technologies, to optimize customer operations by lowering costs and reducing time to market.Our Louisville-Kentucky facility is seeking qualified candidates to fill 2 openings for a Senior BuyerResponsibilities are as follows:1.Reviews requisitions and MRP output and makes purchases from ERP generated planning.2.Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.3.Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase.4.Orders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP output.5.Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery and inventories.6.Manages supplier to price, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.7.Approves invoices for payment.8.Expedites delivery of goods to users.9.Analyzes inventory levels. Prepares liability reports for excess and obsolete management.10.May gather quotations, examine bids, negotiate contracts and make awards.11.May plan, schedule and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle.12.Interfaces with suppliers and customers to secure both delivery and the best market price.13.Makes tactical buying decisions. Executes corporate sourcing programs and purchasing high dollar parts.14.Conducts quarterly supplier reviews; maintains supplier metrics performance15.Maintains procurement records, reports and metrics.1.Prepares and/or reviews bid requests and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.2.Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.Specialized job responsibilities may include one or all of the following:RequirementsIdeal candidate has a Bachelor's degree coupled with 5 years of purchasing experience.
