Position Details
The chosen candidate serves as the systems integration leader for the 787-9 platform reporting to 787-9 platform Chief Engineer. Key areas of responsibility of this position are:
Driving requirements from the Specification Control Drawing (SCD) level received from the customer to the detailed component level.
Ensuring that the requirements received from the customer are at the tier 3 level, are validated and are verifiable at the tier 3 level.
Driving the planning and implementation for the facilities that will be required for the HS verification efforts from the component level to the tier 3 system level.
Driving the creation of a verification plan that will support the certification requirements of the program.
Driving closure to system level trade studies.
Responsibilties
Responsible decomposing Customer integration SCD to SIRD (System integration requirements document) to SRD.
Ensures that the requirements received from the customer are at the tier 3 level, are validated and are verifiable at the tier 3 level.
Responsible for and drives the creation of the verification methods and plans
oEnsures the verification method is performed at the lowest level possible
Ensures verification goals are met on schedule and to cost
Manage the status and forecasted success of verification level metrics
Ensures test facility requirements are identified and in place to support program requirements
Ensure test planning and execution to support verification plan objectives
Coordination of system level trade studies
Manages across IPT process requirements
Focal point for system simulation coordination across sub-systems and with the customer
Risk Management (System or sub-system level)
Development / maintenance of technical risk analysis methods, gap closure plans
Drive technical risk mitigation plans to closure and communicate risk status to management

Qualifications
BSME or BSEE
10 years of relevant Systems experience in the aviation environment.
