Responsibilities: Position will be expected to ascertain the training needs of persons with developmental disabilities through testing, evaluating, writing remedial training programs and providing the necessary training protocol enabling them to become more independent. Must be able to use a variety of equipment and tools in the preparation of materials for resident use. Should be familiar with stenciling, tole painting and basket weaving techniques. Management prefers applicant have a strong interest in the production of crafts and some knowledge in the aspects of marketing. Some knowledge in behavior management. Training and Experience Requirements Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of experience in productions trades or related work that provides the above knowledge and skills, preferably providing exposure to the population to be served; or graduation from high school or an equivalent and two years of experience working with developmentally disabled clients; or an associate degree in the human service field; or an associate degree in a field other than human services and one year of experience working with developmentally disabled clients; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions..
