Responsibilities: Will be responsible for the technical architecture of the many components making up the PayPal NAS storage environment. This includes NetApp appliances, network design, and host operation platforms. Will be expected to use the technology available to address PayPal's needs by building custom solutions, enhancing processes in use for day to day management and overseeing implementation and operations teams. Will provide technical leadership, project planning, and regular communication to both management and the team. Must be proficient and well versed with solution design and implementation for current NAS storage disk, virtualization, and data migration technologies. Will work as a part of the storage engineering team, as well as with internal project teams, delivering storage infrastructure solutions of varying complexity and scale within the PayPal environment. Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and strong customer service skills. Job Requirements Minimum 3 years as NetApp Engineer Minimum 3 Unix/AIX Systems Administrator Must have NAS Enterprise level deployments and operations. Troubleshooting NAS environments and the network protocols. NetApp hardware, fully understanding WAFL, Data OnTap, DFM (Operations Manager), Snapshot, Snapvault, SnapMirror, SnapLock Strong knowledge of the following protocols€¦FC SAN, NFS, CIFS and NAS Strong knowledge of the CLI (Command Line Interface) Strong scripting skills Expertise in using NAS (Netapp) as a backup mechanism. .
