Please note that we are unable to accept resumes via email.Mid-level Infrastructure Advisor (Southern, Sudan)The Louis Berger Group, a leading international A&E development firm, is seeking a Mid-level Infrastructure Advisor for a USAID-funded project based in Southern Sudan. This is a long-term assignment and the estimated start date is projected at Mid-January 2010.The Mid-level Infrastructure Advisor will:Identify improvements needed on priority feeder roads to better connect producers with local and regional market access.Provide technical support to promote and facilitate the movement of goods and services in and out of rural areas.Have experience with vertical infrastructure related to agriculture such as storage sheds, packing houses, and grain mills.Collaborate with the Deputy Chief of Party and Senior Infrastructure Advisor to provide quality assurance and quality control over all activities related to infrastructure and agricultural development.Candidates for this position must have the following qualifications:Bachelors degree in civil engineering and/or agriculture science.At least ten (10) years of experience working on civil engineering projects - preferable including Africa, and at least five (5) years of prior supervisory experience on road and building projects, experience with USAID a plus.Familiarity with the rural and peri-urban conditions in Africa.Demonstrated success in managing and training multicultural teams in complex environments.Strong communication skills.Due to a high volume of applicants, only fully eligible candidates will receive follow-up information about the project and the assignment.
