The Chain Accounts Manager is responsible for the successful selling of new products, retail ads, and marketing programs to all chain headquarter offices and the complete follow-up of their implementation. The Chain Accounts Manager is also responsible for the effective communication and consulting to all sales management business trends, sales opportunities, areas of concern and pricing and programming suggestions. include:Build and maintain productive business relationships with all key chain HQ and chain store outlet personnel through meetings, work-withs and entertainment.Become an integral part of the marketing of wine and spirits to the chain’s managerial team by proactively creating effective marketing plans for the chain and gaining the chain’s approval to implement these programs.Provide timely and thorough communication of all chain programs to all levels of sales divisions and ensuring the successful execution of these programs through salesman and sales manager work-withs.Visit chain store outlets to survey competitive activity and to identify marketing ideas and sales opportunities and create sales programs that address these opportunities.Conduct monthly pricing surveys to determine accuracy of prices on all products. Promptly correct any pricing problems immediately. Keep sales management, sales people and marketing managers informed of pricing problems and corrections in a timely manner.Develop successful sales presentations for new items, retail ads, marketing programs and category management and conduct presentations effectively.Maintain an aggressive HQ call frequency schedule (determined by the VP of Retail Chains) in an effort to build rapport and become more accessible to chain HQ buyers, management and principals. Become a professional consultant for their wine and spirit business.Continually improve share of business in chain for both wine and spirits.Continually improve share of chain retail ad account.Work toward gaining for the appointment of category captain by the chain.Conduct regular comprehensive business reviews with chain. Identify sales opportunities and offer business plans to capitalize in those opportunities. Assist chain with the successful implementation of these programs.Recap chain on results of all marketing plans within the chain.Frequently communicate any activity in chain, or competitors, to Chain and Corporate Sales Management.Utilize all appropriate means necessary to move business forward in chain.This position also includes various Category Management responsibilities including scanning store sets, gathering and analyzing data and implementing store sets.
