POSITION DETAILS
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the functional and program leadership of system engineering, hardware engineering and software engineering organization for Eastern and Western space launch ranges. Act for the Chief Engineer when necessary to provide functional and program leadership of system engineering, range engineering and CM/DM for the Eastern and Western space launch ranges. The Deputy CE will have direct, daily reporting to the Chief Engineer and will support process review and execution, the Engineering Review Board, the SEIT Board, technical training, technical standards definition and compliance, project staffing, oversight of the migration to the 'to-be' range architecture and support overall technical leadership while ensuring engineering excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in engineering, management, computer science or other technical discipline with 6 - 12 yrs. experience is required.
Master of Science with minimum 4 - 8 yrs total experience is required.

Knowledge/experience in two or more of the following areas is considered a plus
' DoD/C4ISR Architecture Framework
' CMM, CMMI, ISO, Six Sigma
' Space Launch Range operations and support
' Functional and/or technical management of medium to large (80+) engineering organizations or projects.
