Our client, based in Alameda, California, is engaged in the fields of stem cell research and regenerative medicine, as well as in research and development of aqueous-based synthetic solutions that may be used as plasma expanders, organ preservation solutions or solutions to replace blood volume during low-temperature surgery.
Administrative Assistant
Under direct supervision, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative support duties, maintaining calendars and schedules, maintaining files and records and preparing purchase orders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the managing of day-to-day activities and prioritizing tasks
• Coordinate and implement office services
• Maintain record-keeping systems and process accounts payables and receivables
• Locate and compile information and format reports, graphs, tables, records and other sources of information
• Aid in the purchasing process, including order placement, document management and basic data entry
• Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, to manipulate and/or format data and/or reports
• Answer main company telephone line, including transcription of messages as needed
Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Must be detail-oriented with superior follow-through skills and have a strong ability to multi-task, organize priorities and meet deadlines
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and be customer-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in the medical field is strongly desired
