Support executive leadership and management as a continuous improvement specialist in the development, planning and execution of a best-practice transformation strategy and associated metrics. Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement organization to develop strategic continuous improvement initiatives and translate them into actionable goals and objectives. Provide training to all levels of the organization on the use and practice of improved processes, procedures and tools. Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste and takes advantage of industry best-practices. Facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and “ever changing” environment leveraging his/her strong interpersonal skills. Ensure that continuous improvement plans are aligned with the department’s goals and accountabilities. Drive effective on-going communications throughout the Continuous Improvement organization on the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to help drive culture change and advance best practices. Develop infrastructure tools and supporting materials as well as training to support the department’s continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct workshops and other training programs that foster the cross functional deployment of continuous improvement initiatives. SUPERVISOR Requirements: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other departments, associates and outside suppliers as necessary. :Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or some other related curriculum. Formal Lean and TPS training. Self-directed team player with 3 years of experience in a continuous improvement driven environment Green Belt Certification preferred Completed 3 transactional-related projects with demonstrated success and financial results. Technical competency Lean, Kaizen/Work-out, process management, change management and advanced statistical techniques. Experience coaching and delivering training at all levels of an organization. Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Visionary with longer-term focus – able to see the end result. Ability to create an open environment supportive of free sharing of information and ideas that is also conducive to contribution, growth and achievement. Exemplary standards of integrity, personal work ethic and continuous involvement in self education and development. Manufacturing, supply chain, and sales interface experience preferred. Proficiency in Windows, Minitab, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and simulation software. Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools. Knowledge and ability to work with a variety of persons and organizations having diverse issues, concerns, agendas. Knowledge and ability to facilitate meetings, conduct effective briefings and presentations, and to develop consensus, both internally and externally. Ability to interact effectively with upper levels of management.
