Tasks include but are not limited to: Assigning shift duties for housekeepers, approving payroll and vacation time for shift employees, coordinating special cleaning projects throughout the hospital, training new and re-training current employees in all aspects of the job, performing quality checks, cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, surgery areas, bathrooms, floors, stairwells, elevators, waiting rooms and offices; removing trash, bio-waste and soiled linen from patient care areas to designated location, wiping of surfaces and any other tasks related to the cleaning of the hospital.
