Production Superintendent - (US-NC-Raleigh - 27699) Minimum Education: None Job Type: Full Time Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume Guide Click Here to Apply Online Responsibilities: Directly responsible for supervising 3-5 Production Supervisors on various shifts within assigned Production Department. Indirectly responsible for supervision approximately 75-85 hourly manufacturing personnel who manufacture and produce contrast media products within a pharmaceutical environment. The Superintendent will assure that manufacturing personnel adhere to operating procedures and processes, and that product quality is maintained at established standards. Required to maintain quality, safety, and ethical conduct while meeting production standards and schedules. All activities of this position shall be conducted in accordance with full compliance with federal, state and company health, safety and environmental laws and regulations. Employees will actively seek and implement practices that help us eliminate or reduce the use of hazardous materials, minimize waste production, and conserve natural resources. Ensure Core production schedules are linked and necessary resources are utilized. 2. Review Standard Operating Procedures, revise as needed and ensure they comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices. 3. Direct personnel in safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment. 4. Advocate personnel development by setting objectives with subordinates and summarizing performance with annual reviews. 5. Develop and enhance reports utilizing statistical tools identifying and trending KPIs. 6. Coordinate investigations on process variations and deviations. 7. Provide support and assist the Validation Department in certifications and recertification. 8. Provide support and assist Operational Excellence Teams and Process Engineers by establishing project goals and implementing objectives. 9. Must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the Production Supervisor position to include PAC certification, KRONOS and BPCS operation and reconciliation. 10. Must be able to fill in for the Production Manager position. 11. Periodically review work center staffing and routings, suggesting any changes as necessary. This position reports to the Production Manager. This position works closely with maintenance, quality assurance, financial services and HR in order to maintain quality and operate efficiently. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility under cGMP conditions for the manufacturing and packaging of sterile and oral dose liquids. First and second shift operations are performed while working four ten-hour day per week with occasional overtime as required.Requirements: Education required/ preferred: BA/BS Degree Experience: 3-6 yeas in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Preferred SkillsDemonstrated leadership skills including oral/written communications, conflict resolution, decision making and sufficient financial acumen to interpret cost analyses and other reports. - Must demonstrate understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools and concepts. Skills/Competencies: PC proficient to include MS Office Suite. Other Skills: Good organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects. Must be able to create and enhance a team based environment.
