To learn more, please visit the Follett Library Resources website at www.flr.follett.com:Performs duties to inspect books and orders for processing errors, damage, defects or omissions and to have such errors corrected prior to shipment. Specific :Stand and walk adjacent to Quality Assurance conveyor line to inspect tote contents.Review tote list for customer requested titles, count and/or processing specifications.Inspect each book for dirt, damage, or defects. Pull books that do not meet established quality standards and route to Returns department.For processed orders, determine whether books are processed according to customer¿s instructions and established quality standards.Complete required reports to inform Department Leads of defective products.Re-inspect any books reworked by Processors for quality and accuracy.Locate books in Overstock and communicate location to Overstock personnel to retrieve book(s). Add books to the customer tote on the line.Prepare books, returned by customers, for rework.Perform other duties in home department or other departments as assigned.: Works on moderately complex activities and tasks.Processes, prioritizes and organizes own work.Duties and tasks may frequently be non-routine.Must be able to perform increasingly more complex tasks.Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the complex issues to higher levels.Applies deeper knowledge and skills to work.Uses knowledge of policies and procedures to determine course of action required.Makes decisions that involve choosing between limited options; decisions made under moderate supervision.Actions impact completion of tasks within operational activity and affect immediate group and sometimes the department.Works under moderate supervision of manager.Typically has approximately 3-5 years related experience.May have completed some academic coursework.Basic usage and understanding of the English language (speaking, reading & writing).Basic math skills.Basic ruler (English measurement) skills (reading and usage).Basic computer skills (general use).
