Assignment CapsuleAs the Manager of Sales you will proactively manage a team of sales associates by establishing individual strategic plans, best-practices in new sale acquisition; and work with staff to effectively influence brokers/consultants, employers, and underwriting to acquire profitable business that meet or exceed targets. Formulate and implement strategies designed to help sales associates achieve goals and production requirements. Requirements: Manage assigned office sales goals including, but not limited to medical, dental, and/or life insurance while achieving profitability targets. Aid in the administration of budgets. Ensure broker are properly trained by sales representatives in product knowledge and company procedures as well as underwriting requirements. You engage people in problem solving without taking over.Role EssentialsBachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, related field, or equivalent experience Health & Life Insurance Licenses or ability to obtain within 30 days Prior leadership experience in a sales environment Demonstrated ability to coach and develop a successful sales team Prior experience working in the health insurance industry or highly consultative sales environmentRole DesirablesPrior experience with Medical/Life/Dental product positioning Strong analytical aptitude General understanding of economic, financial and operational conceptsReporting RelationshipsYou will have approximately 6 direct reports, and you will report to a Director of Sales. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer. Additional InformationThis role requires frequent travel during the day and approximately 25% overnight travel.
