Housing Coordinators seek to provide a safe and secure living and learning community that complements the educational mission of the University and contributes to individual and interpersonal growth and development of students.Housing Coordinator responsibilities include counseling, conflict resolution, programming, fostering community and leadership development, crisis intervention, facilities management and administration. The major management activities are accomplished through the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of up to 25 student staff, which includes Resident Assistants (RA's) and Office Assistants (OA's).Specific duties include, but are not limited to: acceptance of application agreements and the placement of residents; planning resident move-in and check-out; maintaining property inventory; monitoring use of facilities; viewing building inspection logs, maintenance and activity logs, among other standard documents; processing of student disciplinary cases specific to location; monitoring and enforcing Residence Life policies and procedures; participation in University committees; conducting student development workshops and training sessions; account reconciliation; marketing and promotion of University facilities.RequiredskillsEducation- Bachelor's degree in a related field.Experience- Six months experience in a supervisory capacity..OtherAdministrative ability, as well as strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must.PreferredskillsEducation- Master's degree in guidance, student personnel, or a related field.Experience -One (1) year required experience in a University setting.Other:This is a 12 month live-in position. Scheduled on-call hours.
