REPORTS TO: VP Human Resources
POSITION SUMMARY:
This key position is responsible for managing the overall compensation and benefits function and will provide guidance for the strategic direction of the organizationˇ¦s compensation philosophy and benefit programs to ensure that it supports the organizationˇ¦s business objectives. Will also manage the HRIS system.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. In conjunction with the VP, Human Resources, individual will design employee benefit plans, revamp existing programs, research and implement new benefit programs, oversee benefit administration, and analytically and technically support the delivery of the benefit programs.
2. In conjunction with the VP, Human Resources, individual will make recommendations for merit/equity increases; oversees the annual performance review, base salary increase and bonus programs; manages the grading and market pricing of positions; and ensures appropriate position audits to maintain compliance with FLSA requirements.
3. Manage the HRIS system. Construct management reports and analysis regarding EEO, Workers Compensation, turnover and timeliness of performance reviews. Makes adjustments and upgrades to system. Works closely with payroll.
4. Manages compliance with all government reporting agencies.
5. Plays lead role in managing expat and international locations for employee compensation and benefits.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
„« Bachelor's degree plus five years professional-level compensation, benefits and/or HR generalist related experience required.
„« Requires knowledge of compensation practices and principles.
„« Thorough experience and knowledge at managing benefit programs.
„« Knowledge of legislation affecting compensation and benefits, including FLSA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPPA and FMLA.
„« Excellent management, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
„« Experience managing staff.
„« Has completed or completing CCP.
„« Experience managing an HRIS system.
„« Goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, team player.
„« Strong relationship management, consulting and influencing skills
„« Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment, and interface effectively with all levels of staff.
„« Exceptional customer service skills.
