Click Here to Apply OnlineTECHLiNK Resource is seeking qualified candidates for our clients San Jose, CA -based Business Development Manager position to sell professional services. Candidates must have both technical and sales experience including previous experience writing Statements of Work. The selected candidate will work closely with the sales team and customers to define and sell new Business Intelligence and Systems Integration projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a technical or business field; MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed $2MM services quota on an annual basis, preferably in a software product sales environment.
- Knowledge of System Integration, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing approaches, proficiency in web-based technologies, operating systems and experience with multiple relational Database Management Systems.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and success in determining client business needs, defining and proposing solutions and closing business to implement solutions based on client needs.
- Demonstrated project team leadership and motivation experience; a grasp of resource management skills including the management of multi-disciplinary project teams and customer relationship management skills.
- Experience in the development of system development strategies and project plans in a methodical and organized approach, including experience in the determination of project strategy and scope; and the successful management of one million dollar plus Consulting engagements.
- Previous experience writing Statements of Work (SOW).
Description of position's duties to include the following:
- Drive the sale of solutions-oriented Professional Services. These services encompass the definition, development, and delivery of business solutions based on our client's business intelligence and integration products.
- Establish credibility for the Professional Services Division's ability to define and deliver complex business solutions by teaming with our client's product sales staff, participating in account strategy planning, client meetings, and opportunity evaluation.
- Elicit and document the client's business issues (needs analysis); defines IT solutions to address those issues (solution generation); develops work plans, task estimates, and pricing for those solutions (proposal writing); define the client's return on investment for the proposed solution; and participate in the sales closure process.
- After closure of a project opportunity, day-to-day direction of the implementation efforts will typically be turned over to an Engagement Manager.
$80k to $90k base plus commission
