Vice President/General Partner - (US-CA-San Diego - 92199) Minimum Education: None Job Type: Full Time Jobcode: N/A Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume Guide Click Here to Apply Online Responsibilities: Reviews, develops and authorizes the short-term and the long-term objectives and major plans and programs of each assigned business unit or function to ensure that they align with and enhance the achievement of PRA’s corporate strategy and objectives. • Ensures that authorized plans and programs for the assigned business units or functions are properly implemented and that PRA’s senior management is informed of the overall trends and conditions of all important activities that impact PRA’s profitability, market position or stature in the industry. • Develops and authorizes specific performance standards for assigned business units or functions to ensure key results in utilization, staff development, operating efficiency, innovation, physical and financial resources, public responsibility, and profitability. Evaluates the performance of the business units or functions against these standards and assists the business units or functions in improving their planning and performance. • Ensures optimization of management team in the assigned business units or functions by ensuring that: o management roles are staffed with top quality people; o managers are appropriately delegating authority; o managers are compensated commensurate with the value of similar jobs in the external market, their level of accountability and their performance; o managers are continually being developed so that qualified successors are available for key positions when needed o managers are appointed, promoted, retired or released in cases requiring action by a superior and authorizes such actions in cases where final authority has been delegated. • Maintains effective relationships between other PRA business units or functions, internal and external clients, regulatory agencies, and other appropriate constituents. • Participates in the corporate management of PRA at either the Corporate Executive, Senior Management and/or Task Force level. • Manages all fiduciary, physical and intangible assets in accordance with PRA policies and procedures making sure that all property and assets, including intellectual assets, are properly safeguarded and administered. • Promotes corporate values and advocates actions that create a work environment that attracts and retains the best people and delivers services that exceed customer expectations. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS • Formal education consistent with the requirements of the specific business units or functions and/or equivalent practical experience normally gained through progressively greater responsibilities within the field and/or through applicable experience acquired outside PRA. • Executive level applied knowledge of: o Technical and/or professional process, company practices and current trends related to assigned business units or functions. .
