Sets goals and objectives for future program development in collaboration with the Executive Officer to enhance the delivery of quality clinical services. Responsible for managing personnel of Heartlands dental programs. Assists with scheduling and assignment of duties to provide adequate staffing for the department. Implements the Agencys personnel policies so as to encourage professional growth to meet program operational goals. Monitors provider productivity monthly and meets regularly to discuss productivity with providers. Completes all evaluations of employees, discusses problems and counsels staff as necessary. Ensures credentialing, licensing, training and continuing education activities for professional personnel. Monitors and documents these activities on a regular basis. Assists in completion of grant proposals. Acts as a liaison between the Agency and funding sources to appropriately implement grant proposals. Maintains policies and procedures for Heartlands dental programs. Collaborates with the Executive Director in the negotiation and evaluation of formal and informal linkage agreements, partnerships and contracts with internal and external programs, and agencies to ensure continuity of health care services to the client population. Assists with the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Program. Remains current on developments in health services and quality improvement through independent study and attendance at seminars, conferences, conventions, and other related activities. Facilitates entry of the client into the oral health care system by assessing the primary oral health care needs, including eliciting comprehensive health histories, performing oral examinations, ordering and/or performing diagnostic tests, analyzing collected data to determine client health status and formulating a problem list (diagnosis.) Provides coordinated, continuous, and culturally competent oral health care to clients that span the health continuum through mutual goal setting and planning delivery of care. .
