Requirements: High school graduate with additional college level courses in Anatomy and Physiology. Two (2) to three (3) years experience in this position or a position performing related duties. Must have a knowledge of skeletal trauma, disease and orthopaedic terminology. Responsible for the preparation, application and removal of casts; experience care in applying and removing casts to insure proper treatment of patient. Review type of injury sustained with the attending physician and prepare and fit cast. Recognize and report possible complications which may result in additional problems such as mal-position of fractures, pressure sores, etc. .
