Creates strong internal partnerships to evolve the business model for front end services. Collaborates with revenue cycle peers, stakeholders and front end leaders on strategic planning and a common vision. Actively engages key KFH, Health Plan and TPMG stakeholders on critical dependencies, upstream and downstream issues, internal controls, compliance and performance improvement. 3. Creates a joint governance model with TPMG for data quality, customer satisfaction and cost share collection in outpatient departments. Works collaboratively with TPMG to plan and monitor performance. 4. Works closely with regional revenue cycle peers on a common vision for revenue cycle operations and feedback loops. 5. Creates a multi-year patient access strategy, updated annually. Forecasts future resource, information, technology and training requirements to support the front end. Outlines goals, progressive targets, major initiatives, and budget requirements. Addresses technology/automation enhancements. Addresses workforce planning and people development-training, anticipated staffing/role/position changes, professional/career path development, succession planning, innovative work and service delivery models that leverage existing organizational capabilities and virtual work options. 6. Prepares consolidated annual patient access business plan with goals, targets, major initiatives and budget requirements. 7. Develops regional support services team to enhance and support local operations. 8. Hires, directs and manages a regional Director for Admitting and Registration Support Services. 9. Directs the development of a regional admitting/registration support services team to build capability and performance in admissions, hospital-based registrations (ED and HOV), and non-hospital registrations in collaboration with TPTMG. Approves operating model and staffing within approved limits. Approves annual business plan and targets (data completion/accuracy, cost share collection, census reconciliation, productivity, work queue management and internal SOX controls). Ensures appropriate technology, polices/procedures, workflows, metrics and reports and training are in place. 10. Approves annual deposit schedules for deductible and non members and copayments in collaboration with TPMG. 11. Hires, directs and manages a regional Director for Eligibility and Financial Support Services. 12. Directs the development of a regional financial support services team to build capability and performance of local patient financial advisors. Approves operating model and staffing within approved limits. Approves annual business plan and targets. Ensures appropriate technology, policies/procedures, workflows, metrics and reports and training are in place and consistent with new role. § Patient financial advisors are the primary local contact point on financial matters for patients in all care settings. To answer questions on cost of care and payment assistance options. To assess benefit coverage for services. To assess ability to pay and eligibility for financial assistance (charity care, government programs, payment arrangements). To assist in completing paperwork for financial assistance. To collect patient cost share during inpatient stays and at discharge. To process next-day refund requests for patients who paid and left without being seen. § The patient financial assistance manager serve as a primary information source for medical center staff on financial policies and will ensure consistency and triage/transfer procedures with Member Services .
